A: It is not mandatory to have any experience before joining into a group class, however even though we have designated beginner group classes, we often practice foundation and technique even in beginner classes, so it is always recommended to take a few private lessons before jumping into group classes. We find that students can get more out of all of the classes once they have had a few lessons to work 1:1 with an instructor and solidify the basics.

A: Like with anything, rapid improvement comes from repetition and practice. You can always request homework and videos from your instructor as well as utilize the @zdancellc Instagram and Youtube pages to learn more on your own. We also encourage our students to come to group classes and lessons as often as possible to get as much practice time as possible with as many different dancers as they can. Community leads to opportunity.
